Mind Weavers proudly presents the SLD Crash Course: From Identification to Intervention — a focused and practical training program designed for educators, therapists, psychology students, and professionals who wish to strengthen their understanding of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). This comprehensive online course equips participants with the essential skills to screen, assess, and support children with learning challenges using evidence-based strategies. Guided by experienced professionals in the field, the program blends theory with hands-on learning, enabling participants to confidently apply assessment tools, plan interventions, and create individualized educational strategies in both school and clinical settings.

OBJECTIVES:

To understand the nature and concept of learning disabilities(LD)
To understand the types of common learning disabilities found among children.
To increase the knowledge on the appropriate tools and techniques of assessment for children with learning disabilities.
To understand different intervention strategies for children with reading, writing and arithmetic disabilities.

I’m Bilgy K George, residing in Calicut, a Rehabilitation Psychologist and Learning Disability Specialist working at MIND WEAVERS. With nearly 15 years of experience, I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (2009) and an M.Phil in Learning Disability (2012), along with a PG Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). I’ve conducted workshops on learning disabilities for diverse professionals, including teachers, special educators, social workers, psychologists, and speech therapists. Additionally, I’ve served as a resource person in various CRE programs. My goal is to empower individuals with learning challenges by training educators, parents, and professionals, creating a ripple effect to support a larger number of students struggling with learning issues.
