Method of instructions:

- Live demonstrations: Apart from online dyadic lecturing, the facilitator will demonstrate the use of solution-focused therapeutic questions and how to help the clients work toward their goals.
- Roleplay Exercise: Participants will work together by assuming the roles of therapist and client to practice the skills and techniques of SFBT.
- Discussions & Activities: Apart from the Q&A session, the facilitator and participants will engage in conversations on refining clinical skills, case vignettes, and reflections about their experiences during role-plays.

1. Dr.Jaseem K – Clinical Psychologist and Solution Focused Therapist
Dr. Jaseem K is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and an internationally acclaimed Solution Focused Therapist. He was trained in Solution Focused Approach under Peter De Jong, Professor of Clinical Social Work, Calvin College, Michigan. Dr. Jaseem has authored many scientific articles on Solution-Focused Practice and has delivered research papers and keynote addresses at annual conferences of the European Brief Therapy Association, the Australian Association for SFBT, Solution-Focused World Conferences numerous other scientific sessions in India and abroad.
Aside from training and practise, he is actively involved in research, having received research grants from the European Brief Therapy Association in 2016 and 2018 and a research grant from the Cognitive Science Research Initiative – DST and the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR).
His research interests include brief psychotherapy, focused solution approach, therapeutic language, affective neuroscience, psychotherapy outcome & process research, discourse analysis in psychotherapy, school mental health, employee well-being and psychometric test development.

Academy for Solution Focused Approach & Research (ASFAR) offers 12 learning credit hours in solution-focused practice for active participation in this training program. The certificate enables the candidate to meet minimum criteria to claim training in SFBT and is valid for gaining affiliation to national and international professional bodies of the solution-focused approach.
